Samurai Jack Season Five Episode 10 Review (Spoilers)

Samurai Jack Season Five Episode 10 Review (Spoilers)

“All Good Things Must Come to An End”

Well this is it folks. The last episode of Samurai Jack of the entire series. It kills me to make this review but I have to do it so here it is.
We start off the episode with many of Jack’s friends running to their T.V. We see The Scotsman, the archers, the mammoths and so many more watched Aku on their television. At first it was showing part of the old intro of Samurai Jack until it got to the theme song. Aku showed the world that he has captured Jack and all hope is lost. Just as Aku is about to kill he paused and couldn’t figure out how to kill him. I guess after all these years Aku didn’t think this day would actually come so instead he ordered Ashi to finish off Jack.
Ashi is still fighting for control inside the dark being. Just as Ashi is about to kill Jack his friend’s come in time to save him and we see a huge battle taking place. While the battle is going on Jack is trying to retrieve his sword while fighting Ashi and just as things were looking bad The Scotsman and his daughters came in time to save everyone. It was nice to see Jack and The Scotsman reunited despite The Scotsman being dead. It was really funny seeing The Scotsman introducing his daughters to Jack. I think he named every single one and he wanted to Jack to date one of his daughters which kind of seemed weird because but funny at the same time.
We see the Robots that Jack helped in season four come in with a huge robot samurai fighting Aku. While they are fighting Jack is inside the darkness of Ashi to help free her and he says the three magic words to her. “I Love You” thus freeing her. Jack realizes that Ashi has Aku’s power and she uses that power to go back in time to the scene where Aku sent Jack to the time portal.
Jack and Ashi arrive to the scene and we see Jack beating the crap out of Aku finally ending the long awaited battle. We are back in Jack’s time where peace is finally restored and we see many of Jack’s trainers reunited including his parents. The weird thing is that his parents didn’t even aged. We definitely saw some white or gray hair on them last time we saw them before Jack was sent to the future.
We then see the two heroes preparing for their wedding. Just as Ashi is walking the down the aisle she falls and tells Jack without Aku she never would exist and as soon as she said that she disappears. Ashi becomes something Jack was afraid of and that’s a memory.
Jack is traveling on his horse saddened that he lost Ashi. He then sees a ladybug that reminded him of Ashi. He then smiles and looks at the sky as the sun appears ending our series finale.
In the end I thought this was a very good episode but it definitely felt rushed. I feel as though it should’ve been a two part episode. I loved that we saw all of Jack’s friends in this series finale but Ashi to me was the MVP in this episode. Deep down in my mind I was saying to myself Ashi shouldn’t exist since they went back in Jack’s time to finish off Aku. Everyone that Jack met in the future don’t exist. Everyone that he met in that time is a memory. I felt for Jack. I didn’t want Ashi to disappear. Many people believed that a bad ending was awaiting Ashi. I happened to be one of those people and I really hoped I was wrong. The question that I ask to myself is that did Ashi knew that defeating Aku in Jack’s time that she wouldn’t exist? That’s a question that we’ll probably never find out sadly. Be sure to be on the lookout for my season five overall review coming soon.

Samurai Jack Season 5 Episode 9 Review (Spoilers)

Samurai Jack Season 5 Episode 9 Review (Spoilers)

Robert Knuckles
“The End is Near”

Samurai Jack series is coming to an end pretty soon and I’m actually quite sad. Seeing how this episode ended we better prepare ourselves.
We start off where last week’s episode ended with Jack and Ashi kissing following their battle with the blue leech. As they wash up Jack sees his reflection that turned out to be the bearded Jack and tell’s him to be careful and Jack said this has never happen to me before. Fans basically know that Jack has never fallen for a girl before and doesn’t want Ashi to get hurt.
Jack and Ashi sit by a fire. Ashi asked Jack if he ever thinks about home and he tells her about his past before Aku came into the picture. He only see’s it as a memory. The two fall asleep and Ashi wakes up to see Jack gone off without her.
The next scene we see Scaramouch finally finding Aku. Scaramouch tells Aku about Jack losing his sword and for the first time we see Aku smiling when he actually means it. But little do they know Jack has found his sword.
Jack is then traveling and see’s a familiar location. It’s the place where Jack fought the Guardian in season 3 and it's destroyed including the portal. Jack steps on the Guardian's shades and we can only guess what happened to him. Ashi finds Jack and asked why did he leave her. Jack tells Ashi that Aku took everything that he loved and doesn’t want Ashi to become a memory.
Aku finds Jack and Ashi believing that Jack doesn’t have his sword but comes to find out that Jack does have his sword and Aku immediately destroys Scaramouch. Aku tries to leave but then he smells himself inside Ashi. We then see a flashback of the women worshipping Aku and summons him. Aku gives his blood or whatever it was in a chalice. She drinks the blood and gives birth to the seven girls and calls Ashi daughter of Aku.
As Jack charges against Aku Ashi stops Jack. Ashi is attacking Jack while being controlled. Aku then transforms Ashi into nothing but darkness resembling him. Jack hits Ashi and we see her face and tells Jack to kill her but Jack couldn’t do it. Jack falls on his knees to surrender and drops his sword. Aku then picks up Jack’s sword thus ending the episode.
Another great episode. A lot of people were expecting a sad fate for Ashi and this might be it but she’s still alive and Jack might be able to save her. It was good to see a flashback of how Aku and his worshippers met and using his blood to control Ashi was great. This is also one of the few times we see Jack helpless. Jack didn’t want to kill Ashi because he cares so much about her and doing that got Aku this victory for now anyway. Next episode is the series finale and honestly I don’t know what’s going to happen. Hopefully it's something we’ll remember for a long time.

Samurai Jack Season 5 Episode 8 Review (Spoilers)

Samurai Jack Season 5 Episode 8 Review (Spoilers)

“Wasn’t expecting that Ending”

Another Sunday means another Samurai Jack review episode so let’s get to it.

We start off the episode with a huge squared black ship flying through space. As it's flying it's struck by meteors and falls down to earth.
We then get to Jack and Ashi as they prepare their journey to Aku. They get on a huge camel and with them are a bunch of green tigers each with a different letter pushing Jack and Ashi closer together. We then start seeing a moment between the two and it was really funny seeing Jack all nervous. I don’t think he’s ever been so close to a girl before so this must be the first girl he’s ever cared for. Jack starts seeing the letters from the tigers form the letter “Die Samurai Jack” and the tigers start attacking the two heroes as they are fighting we still see Jack and Ashi getting close to each other apologizing towards each other.
Jack and Ashi get off the camel and continue their journey on foot. They come across the black spaceship that fell onto earth at the start of the episode. It turned out to be a prison. A blue leech finds itself on Ashi. That was a sign for them to get out. They start hearing a noise and start running. They find the prison cell for the creatures that's chasing them and it turns out to be a huge leech creature.
The two escape for now and find a room with a bunch of weapons and find info on the enemy creature and the ship prepares a weapon called X-49 that will help defeat the creature. As the ship is giving instructions on how to use X-49 to stop the creature Jack is distracted by Ashi blowing up the wall thus missing his chance on how to use X-49.
Ashi is ready to go fight but Jack lies and says yes (still not knowing how to use X-49.) They are fighting the creature and Jack can’t get the device to work. Ashi tries using it but the leech attacks her and her clothes get drained thus making Ashi naked and the look on Jack’s face was priceless turning all red.
The creature then splits itself into many clones and surrounds two. It looked like the two were about to face their death until X-49 activates and destroys the creature. As soon as the creature is destroyed Jack and Ashi start kissing thus ending the episode.
In the end this was a pretty decent episode. This episode was based on the relationship between Jack and Ashi. It was pretty funny seeing Jack get nervous whenever he got close to Ashi but I will say this. I definitely wasn’t expecting that kiss. It seemed kind of fast and awkward. As soon as they defeated the creature they just start kissing. I mean the kiss was going to happen sooner or later I just wasn’t expecting to be when they have bug’s blood on them. But overall I liked the episode. Jack and Ashi are now official!!!
