Samurai Jack Season 5 Episode 7 (Spoilers)

Samurai Jack Season 5 Episode 7 (Spoilers)

Robert Knuckles
“Battle within yourself”

Holy crap!! That’s all I have to say about this episode. Let’s get down to this episode.
We start off the with a flashback with a younger Jack coming across a cute animal asking for a time portal. He comes across a time portal. As Jack jumps through the time portal Aku pulls him out and destroys the portal. This was the last time portal for Jack which throws him into a rage. Aku sends three creatures and Jack kills them but comes to find out those creatures were the little animals that helped him find the portal. This devastates Jack and makes him lose focus thus losing his sword. So now we find out how Jack lost his sword and lost his way.
We now see the current Jack and Ashi looking for the sword. They come to the same location where Jack had lost his sword. They couldn’t find it and the reason they couldn’t it is that Jack said “I did not lose the sword but the sword left me.”.
Jack medicates in order to find his sword. He tells Ashi this is something I have to do alone. As Jack is medicating Ashi sees army heading their direction. Jack medicates into a different world where he comes around a small house and sees a monk that could help him.
Ashi heads down the mountain to stop the army. Now I at first I thought Ashi would eventually be tired fighting the army and lose but that wasn't the case. Ashi beat the crap out the army and acted like it was nothing. This just give me more reason to love Ashi.
Ashi sees someone at the top of the mountain ready to kill Jack. Ashi makes it in time to save Jack and it turns out to be Ashi’s mother. She convinces Ashi to kill Jack but she refuses and then we see a nice mother daughter throw down. As Ashi’s mother makes a final attempt to kill Jack Ashi throws an arrow at her thus killing her.
We are back to the house where Jack prepares tea for the monk. The monk said that there’s no balance in this tea and also tells Jack that he can’t show him the path to his sword. We see the younger Jack angered and Jack tells his younger self that you are the reason why we lost the the sword. Jack’s hate took over him and blinded him from everything. With Jack getting rid of his hate showed balance and is transported to Odin, Ra and Vishnu the same gods that forged Jack’s father sword. Jack gets his sword back returns to his old self looking young again with his white kimono robe.
Jack is back in the real world and finds Ashi telling her the next plan is defeating Aku, thus ending the episode.
Another great episode. It was really cool to see to Ashi whoop some butt and having her fight her own mother was awesome and it if there was any doubt that Ashi would betray Jack was thrown out the window. Best part for me was seeing our favorite hero get his sword back but not only get his sword back he also got his white kimono robe back. Their next mission is to stop Aku.

Samurai Jack Season 5 Episode 6 Review (Spoilers)

Samurai Jack Season 5 Episode 6 Review (Spoilers)

Robert Knuckles
“A New Ashi and a Returning Jack”

It’s Sunday so you know what time it is. Time for another Samurai Jack Review.

We start off with Ashi looking for Jack on an air blimp where she is confronted by two guys in hoodies who happened to be the Woolies. The Woolies explained to Ashi that he saved them from the Chritchellites. Ashi continues her journey but the next scene shows Scaramouch headless but still alive. Scaramouch now hops around to find Aku to tell him the news about Jack not having his sword.
Ashi comes finds a forest where she comes across the three archers that Jack saved when they were guarding the magical portal. They tell Ashi their story of how JAck sacrificed the portal to go home to save them from the curse. They have statue of Jack in their village to honor him.
We see headless Scaramouch board a ship where he hopes to find Aku.
Ashi then comes across a rave party asking for the samurai and we see the DJ that happens to be one of the children that use to be controlled by Aku’s DJ. The DJ dedicated their music to Jack after saving them.
We then see Ashi come across a small pond. We see a flashback of a younger Ashi and her sisters. We see a pit that leads to burning coal that resembles Aku’s darkness. Their mother dropped them in the burning coal to turn their body pitch black. Now this surprised me. I thought they were in bodysuits. I’m sure a lot of people were surprised by this. Ashi jumps in the pond to get the burned ashes off of her. Here we see a brand new beautiful Ashi. New hair and new clothes. Ashi now looks like a beautiful leaf warrior. That probably isn't even a word.
We jump  to Scaramouch back on the ship where he tries to call Aku and tell the news about Jack’s sword but ends up getting kicked out of the ship for having too much of a mouth.
Ashi is then at a bar where see the aged Sam-Moo-Rhai who tells Ashi that he made me change my ways then for some odd random reason we see Demongo returning to find warrior's soul to collect but didn’t like the warriors he saw at the bar and leaves. That scene was really random I guess they probably wanted more comedy in the episode. Ashi continues looking for Jack and is confronted by a mysterious person and tells Ashi the location of Jack.
Ashi then comes across a graveyard where she finds Jack. The horseman confronts Ashi and tells her that she cannot interfere. This graveyard is a place for warriors that failed their purpose. Jack was there to kill himself. Ashi reaches out to Jack to tell him that there’s still hope and that you helped many people and touched them. Ashi tells Jack the hope you gave me saved my life and that you saved the children you thought you killed. After hearing that Jack had come to his senses and defeats the Horseman. He tells Ashi it’s time to find my sword thus ending the episode.
In the end this was another great episode. It was cool to see the people from past episodes that Jack saved. This shows Ashi the impact that Jack had on everybody. I also liked seeing Scaramouch again. He definitely made the episode funny and he says this one very inappropriate word which was really. I said this before but I was really surprised that was Ashi’s bare skin with ashes. I’m loving her new look she just looks beautiful. I also said this that I believed that Ashi would be the final piece of Jack finding his way and she was. Ashi saved Jack from killing himself by telling him that there’s still hope and that you saved my life. We might even see a romance between Ashi and Jack. Our hero is finally back and I can’t wait to see what happens next!!!

Samurai Jack Season 5 Episode 5 Review (Spoilers)

Samurai Jack Season 5 Episode 5 Review (Spoilers)

Robert Knuckles
“The Scotsman is back and Ashi has found her way”

You know what is everyone it’s Sunday and it’s time for another episode review of Samurai Jack Season 5.
The episode starts off with three armies charging at Aku’s fortress. One of the armies is lead by Jack’s friend The Scotsman who unlike Jack has actually aged with a white beard and all. He’s on a wheelchair and his army are filled with beautiful strong women who all happen to be his children. (One of them happened to be named Flora.)
Despite having the numbers the armies were no match for Aku. The Scotsman and his children retreated but he stayed to give his daughters more time to escape. The Scotsman grabbed Aku’s attention by taunting him and we all know that The Scotsman is a big talker but he said interesting words by saying The Samurai is still out there inspiring people and you’re scared of him. Aku got tired tired of his words and killed him with a single laser eye beam. At first Aku was happy but as soon as The Scotsman mentioned the samurai Aku was sad once again.
At first I was like no way there’s no way the episode can start off like this but from the ashes we see The Scotsman ghost in his prime. It was through Celtic Magic that The Scotsman was able to come back. He said to his daughters that we’ll come back with a bigger army and this time we’ll find Jack to help us.
Now the scene goes back to Jack and Ashi. Ashi’s mother tells her to kill the samurai but Ashi refuses because she wants answers. The two warriors were able to get off the island from a dragon creature and after that the two went their separate ways. Jack is sitting by a fire at night and once again he starts having hallucinations. Ashi comes to Jack asking for the truth.
Jack and Ashi walk to a destruction of trees where only one is left alive to show Aku’s power. Then they walk to the city of Aku undercover. They see that Aku’s helpers are sending criminals to peaceful lands to destroy to make them and make their new home. The final stop was a destruction of a village. Ashi had seen enough and finally believes Jack and asked him what can we do? Jack said there’s nothing we can do. Ashi failed to believe Jack that there’s nothing. They hear a hurt innocent blue furry man that’s happy to see Jack and tells them that Aku’s minions took the children to the factory.
The two arrived at the factory to see the children from the destroyed village as monsters being controlled by a weird noise. Ashi goes to find the source of the noise while Jack distracts the children. Jack is fighting the children and Ashi finds the control room only to be captured and tortured by a man in a robot suit that’s behind the whole operation. The evil man shows Ashi a TV screen that shows Jack fighting the children and starts taunting them. He goes back to torturing Ashi but this angers her even more and was able to break free and beat the s*** out of the guy thus breaking the control room and destroying the chip inside the children. Jack believes the children are dead and is devastated. We see The Horseman once again and tells Jack “It is Time” and Jack says yes and walks away. We have no idea where they are walking to. Ashi finds the children and sees them waking up finding out they are okay but can’t see to find Jack yelling for his name thus ending the episode.
In the end another great episode. It was great seeing The Scotsman again and unknown to Jack he’s out there inspiring people although he has lost his way. We finally see a new side of Ashi. Just like the Scotsman said Jack has inspired other people. Ashi has found her way and has a new path. I guess you can say that from her sisters she was the only one that had a heart and we see that from last night’s episode after she sees the villain taunting at Jack and children. I still believe that Ashi is the missing piece for Jack finding his way. But the question is What is the Horseman talking about  when he says “It is Time” and where is Jack walking to? Hopefully we’ll find out on next week’s episode.

Samurai Jack Season 5 Episode 4 Review (Spoilers)

Samurai Jack Season 5 Episode 4 Review (Spoilers)
“Ashi is hilarious”

Robert Knuckles

Toonami messed up last week giving us an April Fools Prank not showing Samurai Jack… I was sad but hey at least yesterday we got our beloved Jack back. So let’s dive into last night’s episode.
The episode starts off with Jack waking up and attacking but remembers himself falling from branch to branch (Looked liked it really hurt). He soon follows a trail of blood leading to Ashi knocked out. Crows begin taunting Jack yelling murderer and killer. Jack yells at the crows “They chose this path!!!.” Ashi wakes up and immediately attacks Jack but he’s able to counter and wrap Ashi’s weapon around her.
Ashi begins yelling “Die! Die! I will undo the evil from you!!” Jack tells her that Aku is the evil one but Ashi refuses to listen to Jack. Both Jack and Ashi are soon swallowed up a huge creature. While they are falling Ashi (although still wrapped up) still tries to kill which is pretty funny.
After they fall inside the creature Ashi once again tries to kill Jack when she’s still wrapped up. They are soon attack by creatures. While the creatures are about to kill Ashi Jack saves her and makes her his backpack. It actually looked adorable seeing Ashi as a backpack.
Jack is soon encountered by a small floating cotton ball telling him let’s get out of here and leave the girl. Jack says that she’s innocent and lost her way. Jack must be feeling guilt and now probably wants to redeem himself. Jack is soon encountered his younger self once again. This time looking normal and not a monster. His younger self questions why are you helping her? “We should just leave her.” Current Jack says that it’s his fault why she’s here. Jack is really feeling guilty and sees Ashi as an innocent girl. Ashi is soon kidnapped by a monster and Jack saves her once again.
As Jack is walking around with his Ashi backpack she still keeps on yelling at Jack and praising Aku. Jack lost patience and flipped out at Ashi saying you need to let go of the hate and you’ll see the truth but Ashi refuses to listen. It soon starts raining needles. The two find shelter. Jack starts getting the needles off him and Ashi. It was really funny seeing Ashi’s facial expression during that scene.
After the needle storm is over the two climb up and once they climb up they see beautiful creatures flying around. Samurai Jack always know how to make beautiful art in this show. They see the exit open up. Jack grabs on one of the creatures and starts flying towards the exit but a huge skellington like fish tries to eat them. The two eventually manage to get of the creature and end up on an island.
Jack sits down and recovers. As Jack is sitting down Ashi wakes up and plans to sneak attack Jack as she’s preparing for the kill she see’s a ladybug and we see a flashback of a younger Ashi training and is fascinated and distracted after seeing a ladybug. Her mother tells her “This is not part of Aku’s order.” Ashi see’s the ladybug fly onto Jack and she drops her weapon thus ending the episode.
I really enjoyed this episode. It didn’t have the action that we saw two weeks ago but we see Jack caring for someone that’s trying to kill him. Jack deep down knows that Ashi is an innocent girl. Perhaps Ashi could be a big part of Jack finding his way. Ashi made this episode fun to watch as well. Always yelling at Jack and praising Aku was hilarious. We see Ashi drop her weapon as she was preparing to kill Jack. Has Ashi see the errors of her ways? Does she see that Jack is a good guy? We can only wonder. Another question that comes up is what about her other sisters that fell too? Something inside me tells me that the other two are still alive and will they see error of their ways too? Until the next episode!!
